ADBSA Scholarship Committee

ADBSA Scholarship Committee which operates as one of the charity wings of ADB Spouses Association has eight totally dedicated members with two board members as observers. We meet every second Tuesday of the month from 9.00am to 10.15am at the ADBSA room.

We are currently sponsoring 44 students from 5 different schools, ranging from High schools, Technical colleges and Universities. We sincerely appreciate the financial support provided by the Staff Council Fund (SCF) of ADB,since 2008 which enabled more students to continue their education. They kindly agreed to sponsor four of our schools, Don Bosco, Technical Institute in Makati, Philippine Normal University (PNU), Teacher Training school, Maharlika Village Islamic Foundation School which provides mainstream education with the Islamic religious education, Rizal Technical University, founded by strong demand for fostering technological education in the Philippines. The number of scholars sponsored by SCF is 31. The liaison officer of the Scholarship Committee along with the chairperson interviews and chooses the deserving students and signs the Memorandum of Agreement, while the actual mandate and the funding comes from the SCF.

The committee believes that “Education is a gift that lasts a lifetime” and sincerely hopes that ADBSA will continue to give their support as in the past and help the committee carry forth the mission of helping the poor and the needy by giving them proper education.
